ED Notification Date

<p>Hey I know in past years people have found out prior to the 15th.
What day is the notification date supposed to be this year?</p>

<p>NU says BY the 15th…people on here are saying the 9th because it’s a Friday so it gives rejected students a couple days to cool off before the admissions office opens and they have the opportunity to argue their results.</p>

<p>More like December 12th for me. I can stand a bad week in school, not a horrible weekend if I don’t get in.(:</p>

<p>Do you guys know if Northwestern will tell us the exact date they are going to release decisions for ED??</p>

<p>They sometimes do tell you the day that they plan on releasing decisions if you call tomorrow. Worst case they just say that they do not know when they are planning to yet. They really aren’t trying to keep it a secret or anything, so just give them a buzz</p>

<p>If I recall correctly, last year they continued to say the 15th right up until they released them the Friday before, so I wouldn’t count on admissions being able to commit to an earlier date in advance.</p>

<p>^ “can someone please call”. Why not do it yourself if you want to know so badly lol? I like the idea of not really knowing and I doubt they will release the info.</p>

<p>How will they contact us with our ED admission decision? Email? Snail Mail? Telephone? Pony express? Telekenesis?</p>

<p>Decisions have been released some time after the Admissions Office closes, so anyone on the East Coast isn’t hearing until after 6 or 7 p.m. No need to skip school…</p>
