ED realistic chances? (ILR and CALS)

After looking through lots of great schools, I've applied early decision to Cornell . I would love to get into ILR or their Agricultural Sciences program. This is what I'm currently working with

SAT- 2320 in a single setting (750 Reading, 790 Math, 780 Writing), 2350 if super scored
SAT II- 760-Bio E, 770- Math 2, 750- U.S History 730- Bio M
ACT- 35 Composite (36 English, 35 Math, 34 Reading, 36 Science)
AP- 5's- US History, Language and Composition, World History
4's- Biology, Calc AB
3's- Calc BC (not reporting)
PSAT- 221

GPA (3.4 Unweighted, 3.8 weighted) Low I know ;(

I have also taken several courses through Cornell University Summer College obtaining a College transcript GPA of 4.00

Their Debate professor there, Sam Nelson, really liked me, wrote one of my Letters of Recommendation.

I take a very competitive schedule, especially compared to my local peers, with my current year line up including AP Stat, AP Literature, AP Psych, AP Govt. and Politics, and AP Chem

Extra Curriculars

Supervising Coordinator for Volunteer Program at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Methodist Hospital)(Scholarship won)
Team Captain for Varsity Debate Team (placed 6th in state at Public Forum)
Team Captain Varsity Quizbowl
Native American Aid Volunteering
State Track (Discus, No medal)
Computer Science Internship
National Honor Society
Nebraska Boys' State (2014 Speaker of House)
National Merit Finalist
Student Ambassador Republican Party of Nebraska
Indian Cultural Dance

I come from a relatively small town in Nebraska, and I'm just trying to make myself stand out. It may be worth mentioning I can pay for my college in full, no need for scholarships (although they are nice). I also may or may not be a legacy there seeing as I have a sister currently attending there as a junior.

What is your class rank? A student with your SAT score like your’s, from a small town in Nebraska should be at the top of your class.

Not high to say the least, but I take a much more rigorous schedule than my peers and my counselors know that. I have taken every AP my school offers, versus most students who take only a few.

You should talk to your counselors and ask them to explain this.

As to your overall question – If Cornell (ILR/CALS) is absolutely your first choice school, and you can afford it with expected financial aid, you should consider ED. With your grades, you’re not a ‘sure thing’, but you have a shot.
