Ed Secret

for those who applied ED to cornell, how many of you kept it a secret from friends, classmates, etc.? or have you been open about your college decision process?

Most of my close friends, or the ones that bothered to ask, know that I applied ED.

Everyone that has asked or talked about it knows. But I do know people that applied to Harvard and someone to Yale that have kept it secret from everyone. Ironically, most people find out anyways and talk more about that person than anyone else. I think it's kind of stupid to hide it from your friends because they will be there to support you if you are rejected or celebrate with acceptance.

I agree. Why not be open about it? Then you'll have the benefit of sympathy if it doesn't work out. Some people don't want to do or say anything that might expose imperfections, however.

I was very open. It's not something to be embarrassed of.

Heck, I can tell you where everyone in my senior class applied ED. What's the big deal about it.

i didnt say anything except to my friends cause its my buisness not my whole schools.

There's only forty people in my senior class, so it's not that hard to know. It's nearly damned impossible to keep anything secret in my school.

Everyone knew...somehow everyone knew I got in, too
