ED to Middlebury or Skidmore? And where are my chances higher.

I loved both schools and I want to ED to one, I'm not sure which though.
Skidmore is not need blind and that might be a problem because I need financial aid.
My GPA is an 87.53 or 3.3 which I know is bad but I imporved a lot from 9th and 10th grade. 11th and 12th grade I've upheld a 93 average.
My SAT is a 1340.
I did varisty tennis, cross country, and track and field.
I did band, played the flute and clarinet.

My essay is also pretty good I believe and has been revised by numerous teachers.

It’s too late to EDI to either. As for EDII, I’d say you have a better chance at skidmore if you approve your SATs.

You have a much, much better chance at Skidmore, even though they’re not need blind.

Thanks! That’s what I thought also. Which is why I might just go ahead and EDII for Middlebury since I know I have a better chance of getting into Skidmore even of I RD. What do you think?
I can’t improve my SATs now, it’s too late. I know they’re not jaw dropping but I don’t think they’re bad either. I got a 740 in Math and a 600 in Reading.

You should probably skip EDII for Middlebury. I don’t mean to be cold, but my best friend just was deferred from Middleburry with a 3.98 GPA, two 5’s on AP tests, two 800s on SAT subject tests and a 2240 on her SATs  (which equates to about a…1450? maybe?). You definitely have a better chance at Skidmore, because Middlebury is considered a “Little Ivy” which means that a lot of kids applying to Ivy Leagues apply to Middlebury as a safety school. It only has an acceptance rate of, what, 20%? But it depends on what you want to study and where you want to be.

You have a much better chance at Skidmore. That’s just my opinion though.

Well besides your friends obviously much better GPA I’m not that far behind. My SATs are a lot lower than your friends but they are in Middlebury’s mid-range. My friends just got accepted to Williams with a 1240 which is a hundered points under mine, so they can’t weigh SATs that much. I’ve taken 5 aps out of the 6 my school offered. My school is the best specialized high school in new york. The rest of my classes have been honors. I’ve taken three college classes, all of which have been A’s. Plus it couldn’t hurt to EDII to Middlebury, if I don’t get in, well then I definitly wasn’t going to get in RD anyways so I might as well. I know it’s a high reach but I wouldn’t be losing anything so I might as well. Thanks though.

Given that information that you just provided, you probably have a much better chance than I initially gave you credit for. Colleges give credence to schools that are more dignified and are specialized.

I think being a first-generation college student is a hook as well…I would definitely ED to Middlebury.
