- Tri-M honor society. It's a music honor society where you hold recitals, fundraisers, jazz cafes to raise money, etc. (10th-11th). I was also selected to perform for both years
[The following EC's refer to ensembles that I have auditioned for and been accepted to. County = students from 20-ish schools in the county; region = about 7 counties in the state, state = all of the schools in the entire state]
- County band: 3rd place (9) and 1st place (11)

- Innovation & Creativity Award from Rochester Institute of Technology + offered scholarship to attend (11th)
- 8 achievement awards for all of the out of school ensembles I've been accepted to (county, region, all-state level)</p>
<p>"Work" Experience.. I put work in quotes because these aren't exactly jobs but one time professional engagements
- Invited to play at a conducting symposium for adults my freshman year
- Performed/paid to perform at a private school's theatre production</p>
<p>Recommendations
- One from my math teacher and my English teacher, who graduated from Wellesley (I hope that has an influence...)</p>
<p>I'm concerned because I know my GPA is pretty low and most of my EC's revolve around music... any honest opinions are welcome!</p>
