Ed

Hi yall

I'm not really up to speed on the college crap.

Can somebody tell me the benefits of applying ED and if i dont get accepted ED, can i still apply regular.

Thanks a bunch

Applying ED allows you to know earlier whether or not your got into the school. Some say it gives you an advantage in thee admissions process (compared to RD students). However, keep in mind that ED is a binding contract, and if you are accepted, you must withdraw all other applications. If the idea of a binding contract doesn't appeal to you, you can also try EA (Early Action), which is non-binding.

For your second question ("if i dont get accepted ED, can i still apply regular."), are you asking whether you can apply to the same school RD? If so, it will depend on each school. Some schools will defer ED candidates and review the application again in the RD round. Others will flat out reject the student, and the student is not allowed to apply to that particular school again (for that year)

ok
thanks a lot
