ED1 Emory International student

Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: Female
Income Bracket: Moderate, wont need scholarship or financial aid
I go to an international school in China now (A-Level). Spent the past 7 years in Australia (private girls’ school in Sydney, Australian citizen)
High School: 250 students per grade

Intended Major: Biology (not premed or pre dentistry anything like that, just pure bio)
UW GPA: 3.74; it used to be 90 -95 in Australia, but I screwed things up in China so… (we don’t get ranked…)

SAT: 1450 (720 +730), superscore 1460; I must be a fake Asian
SAT Subject Tests: Biology 700, Maths II 780; I really don’t have time to retake the SATIIs
NO AP

Extra Curriculars:
IGEM, competing this Oct/Nov, so I cant use this result to apply to Emory
Australia Girls Nationals in Chess, 1X 1st place + 2 X 2nd place; not a professional chess player
Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award
A biology patent, attempting to eliminate waste bacterial cells before they are disposed of (used in small to medium sized labs in China, inspired by my IGEM project)
A mini-blog / semi-book, recording my life in Australia
I run my current school’s bookclub, specialise in selling second hand books and reproducing study notes; profits are donated to charities
JHU summer school: A+

Essays: Topic on why I had to leave Australia, family issues…

Letters of Recommendation: One letter from AS + AL Economics teacher (he said he knows about my work ethics in class, so assuming he is going to write a lot about that) and another from my AS Biology teacher (prob write about my extra-curricularsm, my IGEM supervisor as well).
I don’t know if I should ask for a third recommendation, either from my Chemistry teacher from my previous school or my instructor from JHU…

So, I would be very grateful if any of you can tell me my chances at getting into Emory. Thanks in advance.
