ED2 vs RD 2023 IBE Honors Program

I am applying to Lehigh’s Integrated Business & Engineering Honors Program (class of 2023) - should I apply ED2 or RD?
I applied EA to Georgia Tech and Purdue Honors, and to Pitt Honors and Northeastern - all for Mechanical Engineering. I applied ED to CMU but was denied.
SAT 1590
GPA 4.30 (and going up this year)
15 APs so far all but 2 are 5s
Math II Subject Test 800
Chem Subject Test 740

ECs: Captain Robotics Team
Volunteerism, community outreach
Mission trip to Puerto Rico
Paid Internship at Software Company

Took EA/PC 6 week program at CMU last summer got A’s in Engineering and Nanoscience & technology

Essays = good, not earth shattering
No athletics
Documented interest with visit, emails, met with rep at my high school

Appreciate any help or direction! Thank you!

Why do you want to apply EDII? It looks like you have very good credentials for all of these schools. If you apply RD you can weigh multiple options of program (given you are not clear on ME verses Bus/Eng), location, school, size, and financial grant/aid offers.

I was advised by school counselors that I may not get in to Lehigh if I don’t apply ED2

We recently received an email from Lehigh that made it very clear that the acceptance rate for ED2 is much higher than RD. If it is your first choice and you don’t have to compare financial aid, I’d go for it.
