EDII question

I got deferred from University of Chicago (my second choice - early action). I'm considering applying EDII to Swarthmore (my first choice, but I didn't originally want to apply there early decision for fear of being roped in/changing my mind), but I sent in all my applications at the same time, and it was marked regular decision - is there a way I could change that? I'm planning on calling the admissions office Monday but I didn't know if anyone else had any advice for me.

Also, is anyone else applying EDII?

(take out the asterisks)

Also, do you think I have a good chance of getting in EDII?

hey dressupandxdance, i'm also applying EDII.....your French/Music involvements are definitely a plus.

Ohh cool. I just called today about switching my application to regular decision (I have to write/sign something letting them know, and get my counselor's signature and fax it, but then I'll be all set.)

Edit: Do you think my French/music involvements will help me because they are French/music, or just because it's something I'm passionate about? Just out of curiousity, I didn't know what Swarthmore is looking for more.

yeah, you need signatures. glad to hear it's not much of a problem to switch. i mailed my app yesterday....

...my thoughts exactly. i think passion is the key here, cos that'll make your involvements shine more brightly through you. but on the other hand, they'll help because they're french and music!!
are you sending a supplement?

I got my counselor's signature today and he faxed it in (hopefully).

I'm not sending a music supplement because I don't have anything to play/record but I think my passion really shows through in my application (talked a lot about Swat's music program in my "why swat?" essay).
