EDII vs. RD

Does anyone know the acceptance rates of EDII? It seems like ED overall is slightly higher than RD, but how does EDII factor in? Does anyone know anything about institutional priorities that might exist for either pool?

I don’t think Pomona releases separate EDI and EDII acceptance rates. the combined ED acceptance rates for the past 3 years has been 19.5% (last year), 15.1%, and 18.6% but I think it’s fair to assume that the acceptance rates for EDI and EDII are very similar. (correct me if I’m mistaken)
as for institutional priorities, I think it really depends every year. like say one year they might be desperate for new band members, but another year they may have sufficient band members and instead be searching for athletes… if you get what I’m saying

I don’t recall who they cited, but according to an article in the NYT Pomona’s rates for the class entering fall '15 were 21% ED1, 17% ED2, and 9% RD. Based on posts from past years, Pomona does seem to “harvest” potential athletes and members of performance groups during the ED periods, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything that indicates how Pomona treats one pool v. the other for those.

I think I saw also that the 9% overall rate of admission for 2016 (not just RD), was an average with a rate of admission higher than for boys and lower than that for girls.
