Hello CC community. I have a question about the common app. I have applied early action to Stanford University, and I was notified today that I got an 800 on the mathematics level 2 SAT subject test that I took earlier this month. I want to edit my application and add this, but I'm not completely sure how. I did the whole "create a new version" thing, but it won't let me add Stanford to my new application version, and so the supplement won't show up or anything. All I can redo is the information in the common app itself, not the supplement, and I can't add any colleges to submit it to. Anyone know about this? I need to edit my app fast, as they are reviewing applicants now. Thanks!

I’m gonna bump this for future reference hahah

Well thanks for doing that 30 seconds after I wrote it :P

Did you already submit your app to Stanford? If so, there’s nothing you can do except have your score sent and possibly let your admissions counselor know to expect a score so they can update your file. You can’t edit an app that you’ve already submitted.

Nah for myself lol

Oh. I was under the impression that you could add things to it after submitting. I guess not then? Is there any way to get that score incorporated into the application process, preferably without having to go through a counselor?

You can make a new version of the common app and input your score into the new version. However, Stanford (and other schools) won’t acknowledge your score until you send it to them.

Yes…and that’s what I did…but it won’t let me add Stanford to my schools on it because I have already submitted the application to them. I can’t choose the “move” option under the school since it has been submitted.

Then there’s nothing you can do except send Stanford (and any other school you apply to) your score, and they’ll update your file. Colleges won’t acknowledge the score you put on your application without seeing proof.

Hmm, so when they receive it they will automatically update my app? I think I already had it sent to them anyway, but I’ll check.

The subject test score that they will receive will be matched up with your application.

Thanks a lot for the help.
