Does anyone have any info on this major? I know it is fairly new to the school so any insight would be helpful. :)

Such as: [The College of Communication and Information](http://ci.fsu.edu/)?

No. It is a newer major for English, if I am correct, it has only been around since the past fall.

my D would also appreciate hearing from anyone majoring in this currently. she’s done online research, but talking to an actual student would be great!

thanks to anyone who can help!
we were both so very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the students we met at the accepted student day we attended. what a great enviornment!

You might be able to ask about it on collegweeklive.com Currently there are FSU students, admissions representatives, and directors answering all kinds of questions and contacting people who can help you if possible.

Had a conversation with a grad student in the English Department today…maybe he has some info.

Here’s a web link with details: http://www.english.fsu.edu/ewm/index.html

This new program came about as a result of the “cluster” hires in the [Pathways of Excellence Program](http://pathways.fsu.edu/). This is a practical combination of textual history and rhetoric and composition, developed by the textual history cluster.

This program is extremely interesting and impressive - I strongly suggest you go and visit or call the department for additional information. I discussed this with a PhD candidate in English today…it is a fascinating major.
