I'm looking for a school with a strong arts program as well as a strong teacher education program. A close-knit feel preferably near/in Pennsylvania. Anyone have any good recommendations?
I'm an average student but have lots of community service, extracurriculars, and have a talent in the fine arts. Some schools I've looked into that I've liked include Capital University in Ohio, Byrn Mawr in Pennsylvania, and some art schools like Columbus College of Art and Design, and Moore College of Art and Design both in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Thanks!

You probably first have to decide if you’re serious enough about art and want to focus on it enough to go to an art school which will have you doing art all day. If so, check on the art major discussion board for suggestions. If you just want a good art department in a small liberal arts school like Bryn Mawr or a larger university, there are probably a lot that also have education degrees/certifications and it will depend on your stats and whether you want large, medium, small, urban or rural. For medium in Pennsylvania you might want to look at Bucknell. For small—Lafayette, Ursinus, Muhlenberg. Do a google search for Pennsylvania schools that offer teaching certifications too.
