How is this course in terms of workload and difficulty? Thanks.

if with Redekopp, workload = decent, difficulty = easy. Redekopp explains everything better than you could hope, he's always down to help, and he'll know you by name within the first week. easily one of the best professors in the engineering school, if not in the entire university. if not Redekopp, it could still be easy, but i heard other people don't get nearly as much out of it, at the very least in terms of enjoyment (yes, the class is fairly enjoyable haha).

All the engineering 101 classes are designed to be fun and easy for the right kind of student, one who is likely to succeed in and after engineering school, and scary to those who aren't, easing their transfer to some other major before too much time is wasted. Not hard like a weed-out class, but an aid in evaluating your real interest and aptitude for the field.

ee101 is not the intro class like "all the other engineering 101 classes", it is intro to digital logic. i think you are thinking of ee105. i took ee101 with ung. it was pretty easy, and the workload wasn't too bad either.

i should also mention what i like to call this class...

Puzzle Solving for Electrical Engineers

:D

Yep. The EE equivalent to AME101 is 105. I forgot the EEs number their courses in hexidecimal. So disregard.

Thanks a lot. I did register with Redekopp so I guess I'm set. I was just worried because Im also taking Phys 151 and CSCI 105, so I didn't want to totally kill myself next semester (since I'm not one of those huge comp sci nerds that doesnt consider CSCI a class).

oh you'll be fine...i took EE101 with Phys 152 (which was quite a bit harder than 151, IMO, and easily 50% more work, maybe more), and CSCI101 last semester...i can't say i totally killed myself...but it was tough. i survived though, and this semester's a cakewalk in comparison.
