EE 312 - Intro to Programming and EE322C - Data Structures

These two classes sound awful familiar to the two AP comp sci classes I took in highschool. They're electrical engineering degree requirements.

EE 312 - Intro to Programming
EE 322C - Data Structures

Can I get credit for these two engineering classes from 5's on AP Comp Sci A and AP Comp Sci AB?

The UT AP Credit website says the AP exam gives credit for CS 305J and CS 307, which are classes in the Computer Science department.

I’m pretty sure the only credit you can claim for AP tests is that which is listed on the website.

I don’t know of anyone who has gotten credit for 312 or 322 by an exam, but it may be possible.

Go Get your Syllabus From Your High School Teacher and Print out the Stuff Covered on the AP Exam and Also get A copy of your AP SCORE report in your hand. Then go to the Professor who teaches those classes at UT and BEG HIM (i am not kidding). Tell him YOU have mastered the skills (with a 5) and if there is any alternative. The most he could say is No but Give it a Shot. Hustle Man and if you hustle, you can get anything…every one has a human brain out there and find a way to manipulate those brains. lol sry if i said some xtra… i just had too much sleep

If the problem is enrolling in concurrent classes that normally have to be taken sequentially, then the above advice is valid. I know several people who have taken 306 and 312 concurrently as well as 316 and 319 etc. That said, you still need to credit for 312 and 322 to satisfy the degree plan which cannot be attained by (however earnest) appeal to professors.

It is possible to test out of classes that do not have a formally listed system for letting kids test out. Talk to someone at DIIA for advice on this.
