I just looked over my eFAN for UCLA, but did not see any loans offered to me. Do I submit it now and then apply for the Direct Loans? I need to obtain the Federal Direct Loans (for students) as well the Federal PLUS loans.

Call the fao office. If the loans are not in your efan, then the fao does not believe that for you cost estimate that loans are required. If it does not show up in efan, then you have no loans available for use. Are direct loans even available this school year? Don’t worry. Just call the office and go over your situation.

I called them, and they said that an updated (2nd) eFAN should be coming in about a week that includes the loans. I suppose I’ll just wait a bit and call back if nothing happens.

Is there a deadline to turn in the eFAN?

Sept 20. Check the other thread about eFANs

I still haven’t received my eFAN, wth?

Make sure you have a “complete” status.

Complete status where?

On MyUCLA, access “Financial Aid Status” under Financial. A “complete” status means that FAO has received all the necessary documents and you are good. A “missing” status means that they are still waiting on some information. In that case, call the office if you don’t know what the problem is.
