<p>Completed our PFS on 11/22/13. I saved the family report then and our EFC was $X. I went into SSS today and clicked "View Family Report" and the EFC is different? Nothing has changed. Anyone know why?</p>
<p>When I say “nothing has changed” I mean none of the inputs changed. But the EFC did.</p>
<p>I just checked ours and it has changed too. Maybe the first one is automated and the second one is after an actual person has gone over it???</p>

<p>I asked someone outside of CC who has some experience with this stuff and he told me he wasn’t sure, but could be that when originally submitted SSS was still using 2013 “allowances” and has updated them with 2014 now? Perhaps as good a guess as any.</p>

<p>UPDATE - just checked and mine also went up since filling it out on November 1, 2013. The EFC is now $979 higher.</p>
<p>Don’t forget to add 1500 or so to your EFC if your child will be boarding.</p>
