<p>No one can know how much you’ll have to pay. Your EFC isn’t really what you have to pay. Most schools do not meet need. And, some schools use CSS Profile as well.</p>
<p>As for a cutoff…you may be referring to Pell Grants which cut out at around EFC 5000.</p>
<p>It sounds like you’ll get a small Pell Grant. No one knows what else you might get. What state do you live in and what schools did you apply to?</p>
<p>That is correct. The EFC cutoff for receiving any Pell grant is $4,995 which is down from last year’s $5,273. At around $4K EFC you would be eligible for around $1500.</p>
