Effect of O level results in admission decision in the Ivy leagues .

Help me please. I'm an international student from Bangladesh.

I had 10 subjects in my Ordinary Level (O level) under the board of Edexcel -GCE . I took all of them in 1 sitting. Got 8 A (A is the maximum attainable grade) ,1 B in accounting(but it's not my subject of higher study), and 1 C in ENGLISH LANGUAGE. I retook the 2 subjects and got 1 A in accounting and 1 B in ENGLISH. So my result is is 9 A(s) and a B in ENGLISH (having repeated from C). QUESTION IS : HOW BADLY IS THIS ''C 'REPEAT' B'' IN A VITAL SUBJECT LIKE ENGLISH IS GOING TO AFFECT MY ADMISSION IN UNIS LIKE MIT/CORNELL/ PRINCETON/STANFORD (which are my target unis). I got a very good score in my TOEFL (110/120 ibt) and I expect to get 2200 + in my SAT which I'll take in this year October. Despite my good TOEFL and SAT I score, how much would my O level result negatively be affecting my admission chances in such top unis?

However, I have 4 A* (maximum attainable grade)in my Advanced Level subjects. I expect to get 800 in SAT II Physic, Chem, Maths II-C. And my school GPA is unweighted, but my results are very good.

I do not have any international/national level achievement which these unis prioritize. No national math Olympiads, or WSDC . But I do have a good number of other ECAs like volunteering and sports and social work. How much is this going to affect my chances? On addition, I might send a few paintings and photography.

Thanks you for your time.

Hi, this might be a bit late but where were you accepted and where did you end up going

@ambitious96 He hasn’t been on here since November of that year. It’s in your best interest to not revive old threads.
