<p>In the writing portion of the common app it says 'Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences in the space below (150 words or fewer, 1000 character maximum).'</p>

<p>I want to elaborate on a mathematics/science team I'm on, but do they really want me to elaborate on the team or moreso on what it's done for me in my life?</p>

<p>It’s up to you, but what my d did was to elaborate on her passion for dance using colorful imagery and anecdotes. But I don’t know if the same technique would work for a math team, for instance.</p>
