I'm so happy.... is anyone else just really really happy? I'm a spring 2007 admit, i don't think it can come soon enough!

yah i'm stoked (i got in fall 2006) i'd be doing backflips if i was u noe, skinny and flexible, so instead its just been a steady weekend of champagne, cigars, and partying in celebration
go bears!!

cal has the worst case of fog and depressing weather

Not really, no. The weather's just been oddly stupid lately. It's usually really nice.

oh come on.. we love gloomy weather.
actually it was really nice when I went there. you just have to wear layers cause it's cold in the morning and then it gets warmer.

I love the bay area... i love cal... i just feel like giving cal a big hug.. like just goign up to one of the buildings and hugging it!

Cal is only a few hours from my home (I'm in the bay area) so it won't be a big change for me..

But I'm still excited!

You guys will have a wonderful time at Cal. My S is a first-year there right now and it has surpassed our family's expectations by far. He has had soooo many opportunities and experiences. It's hard to believe he left just last August. He's done more in nine months at Cal than I did in three years of college. Just go there with an open mind and get involved in whatever you are interested in, both in class and outside of it. Best of luck to you all! Oh, and to Spring admits, my S's best friend from high school was a Spring admit. He ended up getting the plushest dorm room in Unit 2 in August (complete surprise to him), took classes through Extension for first semester and regular Cal classes in second semester. Made a ton of friends. Nobody knew he was a Spring admit, though he didn't hide it either, it was just no big deal at all. So no worries there.
