ELC Davis Regents?

<p>Hey, did anyone who got ELC & accepted into Davis get the Regents Scholarship as well? Or, does my B have to wait until March to know whether or not he got it?</p>

<p>to answer your question, yes. davis was my safety (got an ELC admit) + i’m regents.</p>

<p>why would one affect the other?</p>

<p>My son received an email from UCD in Dec 2010 and got ELC admitted. But it did not mention about the Regents. </p>

<p>My son got the ELC notification but he did not find out about the Regents until the website formal notice of admission where you had to dig around to find it under financial aid. Some days later he got the formal written notice in the mail along with a invitation to have lunch with the Dean of the College, he was admitted to Ag (environmental science), during the admitted students day. He ended up going to a different school but the benefits of being a regents scholar at Davis are great. Go Ags.</p>

<p>My S Was also ELC admit and was notified today in email of regents scholarship.
Does anybody know that they give regents scholarship to how many kids and how many scholars actually end up joining?</p>

<p>I got admitted as ELC and also got the Regents Scholarship notification by email today. In addition to lilac94’s questions, does anyone know what the monetary amount of the scholarship is? Does it vary, or is it one standard value for all?</p>

<p>As far as I know , All scholar get 7,500 per year (30,000 total for 4 years).
If you need financial aid then you can get more.</p>

<p>Same here, got the UC Davis Regents Scholarship email today and I’m ELC. In that link lilac94 provided, it says that Regents is offered to top 4% of applicant pool which is pretty good. All I know is that UC Davis an my college destination just got a little bit more likely.</p>

<p>The website says the 7500 honorarium award is for '08-'09. Anyone know if it has changed or it is bound to change for this year?</p>

<p>I saw that too and I have been wondering the same thing. I’m guessing it’ll change this year due to budget cuts and other economic crises.</p>

<p>My B is in the lower gpa level of ELCs (3.7-3.8)…I guess he won’t be getting it then :&lt;/p>
