<p>Crunch time in applying for colleges for my son, and he is overwhelmed. We don't want to fork over the money for a private school without a scholarship.</p>
<p>He has been offered a scholarship at UT Dallas, and it is a great school, but he would rather be at a more "collegy" campus. He has also applied to Texas A&M, Vanderbilt (with scholarship only), Rice, and University of Tulsa (will be offered some sort of scholarship there)</p>
<p>Son is a national Merit Semifinalist, class rank of top 1%, EC's not that exiting - band, Eagle scout, memberships.</p>
