Is there a consensus on this forum regarding the difficulty of the "elementary statistics" class offered at most colleges? I am about to begin taking a class titled "Statistical Methods" that is most likely an "elementary statistics" course. I have no idea what to expect but I am definitely ready for an academic challenge.

Is statistics as easy as many people claim it to be? Would it be easy for me, considering that I have not yet delved into calculus or pre-calculus (the last math class that I took was Algebra II not too long ago).

Thank you.
