I am an Indian looking to study medicine in the USA. Here are the stats:
1. I hold a degree in Biomedical Engineering from IIT, the top engineering college of India.
2. I have developed many medical apps, including one for cancer.
3. I launched a startup with a friend.
4. My MCAT score is 39
5. My GPA is 3.5
6. I volunteer at the local cancer hospital, and was a research assistant too in college, having made a biomedical tool that can come much useful for heart surgeries.

Problem is, I cannot afford to pay for med school AT ALL, so I have narrowed down my options to those which give financial aid:
John Hopkins
Feinberg school of medicine
Mayo medical school
Harvard med school (not sure)
Some Texas universities (again not sure)

What are my chances?

Even IF you can get into a US medschool as an international, you cannot get Stafford loans, and you aren’t going to get a full ride (COA) anywhere. Nobody on the WAMC forum here can advise you on this, you need to go to the premed forums here on CC or the S D N.com cesspool.

On your other thread you say you are in highschool. You must be a very bored ■■■■■. Nice try.

First of all medical school is incredibly hard for US students to get into and even harder for internationals. If you cannot pay, you cannot attend and they will not be giving you financial aid.

1) Except for UVA and about 6 osteopathic med schools, all US medical schools require that all pre-reqs be taken at US or Canadian college or university. Foreign degrees are not acceptable. Additionally many college require a minimum of 90 credits from US or Canadian college or university to be considered for admission.

2) According to AMCAS, fewer than 200 international students matriculate in any given year. Some years it’s as few as 50. Most of those are Canadians because the Canadian government provides student loans to its citizens who attend med school in the US.

3) Your list–

Mayo no longer accepts international students.

Texas medical schools will not consider international applicants.

Feinberg says that all international students are required to have a creditworthy US co-signer

Harvard requires international students to have a creditworthy US co-signer for the unit loan amount.
