I’ve heard rumors about something called sober semester where sorority pledges can’t go to parties on fridays or the weekend because they have sisterhood bonding activities. I can never seem to get a straight answer whether this is for all the sororities or just the top tier ones.
Also, if the activities are on fridays and saturdays, does that mean pledges can go out to parties on tuesdays and thursdays?
During sober semester you’re not supposed to drink at all for six weeks from bid day to initiation. This means no drinking even if it’s not on the weekends. Most sororities across the country do this, not just Elon. I don’t know if certain sororities at Elon do/do not follow this, but I’m assuming almost all do, no matter what tier they are.
I’ll be honest @luluspencer77 It is very disturbing that you have made two separate posts and asked on another post about refraining from drinking for 6 weeks. 6 weeks is not a long time and during that time the sororities will be having bonding activities. I think you may need to think about why this is such an important question for you and why you find 6 weeks too long to go without drinking and partying.
