I just got the following email from Colgate, which I’m interpreting as an acceptance (it also had a giant picture of a Colgate 2021 banner)
"Now that you have received the good news, allow us to roll out the red carpet for you during one of our upcoming visit opportunities this April, including one specifically for Alumni Memorial Scholars.

We look forward to seeing you on campus!"
The odd part is a hadn’t heard anything from Colgate until this point. It says I am an alumni memorial scholar, but I have no idea what that is/means and haven’t gotten any notification about it until this point. Anyone else receive this email?
I received this same email and I was really confused because I haven’t heard anything from them either until this. I emailed them back to see if they could clarify so I am hoping they confirm this acceptance and that it wasn’t somehow sent out by mistake.
I agree- it just seemed odd to me because it was so out of the blue but read like it was a follow up email to some other materials. Hoping its an acceptance though! @intstudent2021 no I’m domestic
@intstudent2021 I wouldn’t worry too much if you don’t get it. I did a little research and its sounds like only 200 students get the AMS out of the ~2500 they accept.
It would seem that the emails you received overtook the acceptance packages sent by courier. Maybe the foul weather interfered? In time everything will resolve itself.
Hello everyone,
A small percentage of students received an email earlier than anticipated last night inviting them to admitted student events. The messages and recipients were accurate, just premature, and the bulk of decisions have not been released, including the majority of acceptances. We will send all decisions on Monday, March 20, as planned, so keep an eye on your mailboxes.
