Ok, it's just login info...but it was still exciting for a moment.

Haha, I got that too. Does anyone know the time that they will release the info?

yyaay i got mine today too!
=DD

Last year was 12:01 a.m. I dont know for sure about this year, though.

Wow, it would be awesome to be able to see your results on midnight. Hopefully I get in.....

Just call and ask tomorrow.

I just looked at my application tracker for NMH and it said that two things were in on 2/11- is that horrible, is it going to ruin my chances???

Jazlyntrue: Was your part of the application in on time? I think that is the most important part. It might depend on what two things they were. I am guessing (I repeat - guessing!) that not getting your grades until a bit late might be a problem. On the other hand, everything had to be sent in by 2/1, so it might not have been received until 2/5, so 2/11 is not that late. I have heard that admissions offices do TRY to send as many decisions as possible on the dates that they publish.

Also, note that the e-mail from NMH said that some decisions won't be available on-line. Also, the notification does NOT say whether the financial aid information will be included on-line.

So, try to relax (not easy), concentrate on doing your school work this week, and think positive thoughts!

I recieved the email!
But is this new to you?
I got a letter about this information about 1-2 weeks ago,,,

jazlntrue - the other thing that could have happened, is that it is possible that 2/11 is the day they logged in that information. I know on one of our applicaitons that was hand delivered on 1/15 the online tracker said it was received 1/22.
Did you get a notice from them that the application was complete? If so, then don't worry about it.

Last year NMH did not include fa info in the admissions decision.
Jazzlyn...it could be what Brooklynguy said - that the date shown is when NMH actually entered the info online. Just call them and ask about it so you do not feel so stressed. I also think 2/11 will not be a problem anyway.

i haven't gotten an email yet.. but i already had the login information?

I know that my stuff got there late, it was my transcript, but my student services people talked to them when they sent that in, so that was probably helpful..

I just got my E-Mail! They apologized and said due to diffculties it could not be sent earlier. The only reason I found out it had been send because my e-mail alerted me it was going to delete everything in my junk folder! lol

We got a letter from NMH today. It said that applications for 9th and 10th grade are up 20% this year!

It also said that they are selling the Northfield campus for 20 million to help endow scholarships among other things.

What letter did you get? Was it in relation to your application? I ask because my son is a current freshman; we also received a letter from the head of the school today. My letter states that "....earlier this month the trustees approved the listing of 128 acres of the core campus on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) for an asking price of 20 million." This is good, NMH has ambitious plans for upgrading facilities on the Mt. Hermon campus including a new admissions building. Groundbreaking will be in June 2008 with a projected completion of Fall 2009. The grand opening of the Rhodes Center for the Arts will be Fall of 2009. On deck are a new field house, pool, ice rink, and additional athletic fields. Two new dorms were completed last year. The campus is getting a complete overhaul!
I am happy to see the increase in boarding applications....and the fact that NMH has committed to expand their scholarship funding for next year.

Those are two very different things. At first I thought the Northfield Campus had finally been sold. But it sounds like they are simply TRYING to sell an ADDITIONAL 128 acres from the Gill campus as well.

I would imagine the market for that property at $20m is pretty limited. Can't fault NMH for trying though, and I hope they hook a big one.

Linda,
My post wasn't very clear. It is the core of the Northfield Campus...the main buildings and interior land.... but not the forest areas surrounding the campus, the golf course, faculty residences, Round Top, the Homestead, or the Birthplace. They are not selling any of the Mt. Hermon (Gill) campus.
