I got an E-Mail from the dance director and music director at the school I am applying to, NMH. Do you think that this is a good sign, or have they just sent one to everyone who has shown interst??

what did they say?
did you say you would be interested in that on your application?

They just told me information about the programs and said that they hope I finish my application (even though I already had, could be a bad sign...)

did you state interest of those programs in your application?

Umm... I talked to the people about the programs and I listed them in my EC's, so...yeah?

ok then it could def. mean something, and good!
but dont make me sign anything on that=]
i got a letter and cd with orchestra pieces too.
soo i would look at it as a plus, but im not 100% positive

oooh...OK, thanks! :)
Yeah, that sounds like a good sign for you, we will know on March 10th!!

yaaay=]
im psyched

hahaha aww i hope you get in mburg!!

yoou too=]
are you emailed?
cuz if you are, then we find out togetherrrr

i dont thiiink so.i know that groton posts at 3 pm and middlesex at 9 am. but ill be staying awake to be here when you get accepted!

Those emails/letters are form letters sent to anyone who puts that activity as an interest on the application. They are meaningless with regard to your admissions decision. Sorry!

Ohhh, bummer, so it's just like routine or something?
Can notice letters be slightly changed to the applicants current application situation. Like a log in letter being nicer to hint at you that youve been accepted or a letter with statistics to ease the pain from rejection baseballmom?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Some people were saying that their notification letter said, "We have a very strong applicant pool..." Is this a bad sign? My notification letter said, "We look forward to reading your application..." Is this a good sign? I am very confused.

Or maybe we are just trying to read between the lines too much.

What's done is done and we will know our destiny (LOL) on March 10th (or the days following, depending on whether or not we live by the school.).

You are just trying to read too much between the lines. At the time they send the "we received your application" notices, they really haven't begun to read them, and certainly it would be a huge amount of work at that time to seperate them and send different letters. I'm guessing (correct me if I'm wrong) that the different wordings you mentioned were from different schools?

Are you supposed to expect to receive emails/letters from admissions office before March 10th? As like hints to say "we want you"?

Linda S - yes they were different schools I think.

No, that is not expected.

Are we supposed to receive our letters on the 10th or are the schools sending them on the 10th? Do they send them earlier for international students? I'm hoping they time the letters to ARRIVE on the 10th. Does anyone know??

Some schools are different than others I think. For example, one school that I'm applying to says that they are mailing their letters on March 10th and students will recieve them on March 11th to March 18th.
