Did anyone else's email have someone else's name on it. Mine said "Dear Siyamack."

So did mine! ha ha, not even joking.

Oops, that's kind of a big typo on NU's part.

This poor Siyamack kid probably got an email addressed to every other kid who applied to Northwestern except for him. ha ha.

me too 10char

he prob got some spam too...his email is right down at the bottom............

I got it, too - same name.

Haha, I guess I am not the only one who googled the name "Siyamack."

haha i was also addressed as siyamack

Same here, poor kid.

:) Computer glitches like this happen all the time -- a firm I was interviewing for recently made the same mistake. It'd suck to send out your decision to the wrong person though, especially to 10,000 wrong people...

that would be funny if he got everyone else's emails

well, they sent an apology email saying that wasn't the name of an applicant and they'd never give out applicant contact info.

Then who was it? Poor Siyamack.

According to the Northwestern directory page, Siyamack's title is "User Support Specialist Assoc." So, he's probably the guy who sent the e-mail in the first place.

He's "User Support Specialist Assoc, Univ Enrollment." So I guess it was just a test they didn't do properly.

I feel left out. I did get one with my name on it (not Siyamack) though...

I got one with my name too

What mail was this? The one about finding out about NW as we await the decisions? I got that one with my name :( Sigh, I also feel left out

I just got one with my name on it too. So must have sent all the siyamack people a new one.

Maybe the name "Siyamack" is supposed to be pronounced "See Ya Mack", and is therefore some kind of joke on their behalf? Or has everyone already got this and I'm just behind?

I haven't got one with my name on it yet.
But I did get siyamack. I thought it was really funny :)
