<p>I agree with paying3tuitions. You don't need to "embellish" anything the way you've described. It borders too much on lying, and the fact that you are asking about it here implies (to me) that you would not be comfortable doing it. A much better way to "embellish" is to flesh out your listings with descriptions of what you actually did. Your business sounds neat. It sounds like something you treat as seriously as a job, and it shows initiative and responsibility. Even if you were not being paid for most of the work, the fact that businesses USE your work says something. And if some of them paid you for what you did, it must have been pretty good! They wouldn't use, much less pay for, something they felt was worthless or of poor quality. So don't worry so much about sounding impressive. Worry more about making sure the admissions people get a real sense of what you've done - that should be impressive enough.</p>
<p>It's not too great if you're considering getting accepted to college by lying.</p>
<p>Because really, it's not "stretching the truth." It's lying - period. And about multiple things, too. I don't think it's something you should do, especially when most colleges are looking for ethical students.</p>
