<p>I have a friend who just moved to the US about 2 weeks ago, and goes to the same school with me. she's from indonesia, and holds a I-20, she's a visa student. last night, her counselor contacted her parents and told them, becuz she has I-20, she can not go to public school, she must attend private school.....her family don't speak english that well, and she's hoping that I could help them...and I'm willing to,, but what should I tell the school? her family income is about $1000 a month and only her dad has ssn#, and she's a senior this year, wants to go to college in america, and her parents are working their ass off to save money for college. and if she goes to private school, they won't have enough money for college.....any idea??? and is that true that my friend can't attend public school just because she holds I-20 ?? anybody has the same situation that would want to share and any idea how I could help my friend???</p>
