What do I do to reschedule it? Call? E-mail? Are there any fees? I want to reschedule b/c I don't feel that I've studied enough yet and this will be the 2nd time I take it. Also, will schools (like Emory) average my SAT scores if I take it more than 3 times? I would like to reschedule it to the Jan.27 SAT.

If you are registered for a test and want to change the test center, test date, or which test you registered to take, call us no later than the Wednesday that is two-and-a-half weeks before the test date. You must speak with a customer service representative:

* Contact us Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Eastern Time). Summer hours for SAT Program Customer Service (after the June administration through August) are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Eastern Time). Try to avoid the busiest day (Monday), the busiest hours (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.), and registration deadline dates.
* When you call, be ready to tell the customer service representative your registration number and test date, your social security number, and the credit card number and expiration date.

Test Date Change
If necessary, you can change your test date. Once the change is made, another Admission Ticket will be sent to you. If you miss the deadline for making a change, you can still try to make the change on the day of the test. Go early to the test center of your choice and explain the situation to the test supervisor. If space and materials are available, you will be admitted before standbys.

Has anyone ever went to the test center early and tried to change the date on the day of the test?

When I mean average the SAT scores I mean will the schools add up all my scores for each section and divide that by how many times I take the test if I take it more than 3 times. Does the composite mean that the college will take the best score from each section and add those up to make my final score?

I'm in a similar situation...I don't want to give the SATs again because the applications are making me paranoid......I got a 1480/1600 last time and think that it'll be good for my ED school. For regular I'll give it on January....But the thing is that I live in Asia. I called them and they said to call during business hours....Can I change the test date after the date is gone????????????Please any kind of help is appreciated..........

Yea, for some reason my admission ticket says "You have until Dec 11, 2006 by 11:59 PM EST to make changes to this registration." I can changes to the registration after the test?

I need to change my June SAT test to October but The college board site wont let me because it still hasnt came up with the dates of the new years SAT test . Im afraid if i wait until The College board show them i would’ve missed June test and that i would have no chance to postpone it so can you please tell me ? what happens if i didnt show up to the test ? do I still become able to change the test date to another day ?

Students can change the test center, test date, or test type up to two and a half weeks before test day. They also have the option of making changes on test day, but only if the test center has room, staff, and materials available to offer a seat.

A student registered for a test who cannot attend should call Customer Service to transfer to a later test date. A change fee applies. The student needs the following information when calling:

Registration number
Test dates (current and later)
Credit card number and expiration date
If a student misses a test and does not want to reschedule, the test and registration fees—including fees for services such as telephone re-registration—are nonrefundable.

If a student is absent on test day, no score reports will be sent; it is not necessary to notify us. If a student does not want to reregister for another test date and would like to request a refund for any additional score reports he ordered (QAS or SAS), advise the student to call Customer Service (this link takes you to the student area of this website).

Way to grave-dig a 6 year old thread. I don’t know why people frantically post here asking random strangers about SAT registration and non-prep related nonsense when the College Board, which has ALL the answers, is a simple phone-call away.
