Emergency!- please answer!!!!
I sent my scores to JHU but the collegeboard website says it is pending right now - I thought I rush reported, but am not sure - Am i dead? because i'm soo about to freak!!!!!

And collegeboard is closed for the weekend and so is JHU!!!!! - they dont have my scores!!! - I'm going to cry because my i put so much effort into finishing the app

FYI I think I sent the scores on Dec. 30 - Not sure they were rush reported

You need to calm down. I believe I have read somewhere in fine print that there is usually never a need to rush in your scores. You have already reported them on the common app, all the SAT's do is provide an official record and say that you were not lying about your score. If worst comes to worst see if your counselor can fax the official scores over.

OK, first of all just like what *V1236 *said, you really need to calm down. We don't deny students for such reasons.

As far as your question, test scores needed to be requested from the testing agencies prior to our stated application deadlines (Jan. 1st for Regular Decision), but scores may arrive after the deadline. Though the scores will arrive past the deadline they will still be considered if requested in advance of the deadline. There is no need to rush score reports as they are not processed any quicker.

Thanks Sir, I was really worried until I read the message on this website. I really appreciate your help, I understand that you are busy - thanks for all the feedback. Your being on this site really helps....

Haha, you're fond of exclamation points, I see---out of curiosity, did they receive your scores yet? I always hear colleges saying that rushing scores is discouraged/makes no difference, but then I wonder why collegeboard even has that option if that's the case? Strange.

Correct -- the rush score reports is one of the best ways the College Board / ETS makes money. I think rush score reports do work for other schools, but I can say at Hopkins they are not processed any sooner by our office. Save the money.

I can't imagine how some people are managing with so many fees---it makes me sad. My friend is brilliant, but is only applying to state schools and schools where he knows he'll get merit aid because his fam. is at that point where paying tuition is still hard and financial aid cuts you off at a bad point---he won't even chance anything else because of the app fee, css, test-scores, etc... I would pay for it if he weren't so proud :(... and I'm ranting, so I'll stop now...

pvtejasvi, my son saw the same message on college board as well for 4 of the 8 schools he applied to--and this was two months after the test! He called College Board customer service. Apparently the message was incorrect. I would call them and make sure.

As most other people have said, the College Board uses rushed reporting as a way to make a buck or two. As long as you have sent your scores, there should be no problem with your application.
