Hi, I am applying to Miami University (Ohio) and USC on December 1st (This Friday). However, I have not sent the SAT scores yet and I was wondering if it would be too late to send them in now. It says regular shipping will take 1-2 weeks while rush shipping will take 2 business days (costs $31 more). Do the SAT scores need to be receieved by the deadline (Dec 1)?
I would contact your admissions counselor for this question. Unless it specifically says all scores MUST be sent before or on Dec. 1, then most of the time a school will accept the scores after the application deadline (within a small period). That’s been the situation for me, but there are some schools that will clearly say you cannot send scores from this test date, or will define the last test date you can send scores from.
Thanks @Classicgirl17! I will make sure to ask him
My daughter’s SAT scores hadn’t arrived more than a week after she’d ordered them, and it was a college that required them by the November 15 early deadline. She called the College Board a couple of days in advance of the deadline when she saw they hadn’t been sent and they were no help–and wouldn’t guarantee they’d arrive using the rush option either. So she called the regional admissions counselor at the college, who said her guidance counselor could send a PDF of the scores to have by the deadline while waiting for the official scores to arrive later. So that’s what she did (and as it turned out, her official scores arrived on Nov. 15.) So this could be an avenue to explore if it states the scores must be received by Dec. 1.
@TTdd16 Thank you, I will try to contact them if possible then.
