Emerson College Questions

Hi,

I am applying to Emerson as a Sophomore Transfer.

I want to major in Theater/Acting.

I visited the school, and it seemed particularly awesome for people interested in filmmaking, but I'm wondering about how good it is for those interested in acting, and particularly to act in film and television eventually.

Anyone know anything?

Thanks,
Ben

I am not a student there, but it is good (and very selective) for acting. I do not know how much training you will get for film & television acting, but the film students are ALWAYS making movies and such so there is PLENTY of opportunity to be in films, etc. I am also looking to get acting training and then work in film and television (I was not accepted into the acting program, though).

Thanks, luck to you, as well.

I am currently finishing high school in Texas, applying to colleges to study acting.
I may try to transfer into Emerson soph. year. I am currently accepted to Emerson, but i'd have to choose a non-performing major.

Something kind of neat about NYU, also - you have to stay in the same studio for 2 years, but after that you can either continue in another studio, stay in the same, or choose to work in an advanced studios. One of their advanced studios, Stonestreet, is particularly for people who want to act on camera. Maybe you'd be interested in that, too?
