Emma Watson might go to Yale!

Ahhh, imagine being able to choose between Yale and Cambridge.

.....But what if one could choose between Harvard and Oxford?

Why would anyone want to go to Oxford? The tough choice would be between Harvard and Cambridge!

Why? maybe for the same reasons people want to go to the ivies, or Cambridge.

Unless you're published in some field, I doubt as a undergraduate there would be worlds of difference in your education.

Aside from non academic factors, I think those schools are close enough in money/tradition that one's efforts would be the deciding in success.

Cambridge and Oxford are comparable, just like Yale and Harvard. In fact, in the UK you can only apply to either one and not both.

I chose Yale over Cambridge because Yale gives me money and Cam doesnt :D But if money wasn't a factor i'd say Cambridge has an edge.

But Oxford has the ultimate perk of Richard Dawkins.

That was a little fanboy-ish...sorry.

but its relatively old news that she's heading off to cambridge.

According to a recent interview in the Daily Mail, she is undecided and is certainly thinking about the Ivy histories of some successful actresses:

While some websites and reports have claimed that she has chosen a University, Emma Watson says again that she is still undecided, and states of her desire to further her education while acting. "Jodie Foster did it, Natalie Portman did it,’ she says. ‘I think it’s entirely possible to juggle university with filming...‘I actually think going to university will make me a better actress. The experience of living like that, working to deadlines, living with other students. It’s all the things I want."

Living like that, working to deadlines, living with other students, getting help from collegehopefull in maths. It's all the things I want.

Awesome interview.

Trust me, she's heading to Cambridge. I hoped for some time too.

No kidding. She's not going to go to an American university over an Oxbridge--even an ivy. She probably applied to them to have options, for she must have known they would all accept her. But honestly, why would she not choose Cambridge? It's likely people will be less fan/stalker-ish(--hard to tell the difference nowadays...) in England than America, as seen by the frenzy caused by her visits to Harvard, Yale, etc. She's already placing herself in a strange and uncomfortable position by immersing herself in a world of academia with "normal" people whom she cannot trust. Going overseas and out of her comfort zone even more seems an unlikely choice...

Face it, she's going to Cambridge. Be happy for her and move on with your lives...

i can't move on.

prophet....Girls are like buses....

There's always another one right around the corner.

Oh, SNAP!

oh, snap! that was a good one. salute.

Nope, they're like parking spaces.
All the good ones are taken, and the rest are handicapped.

OH, SNAP!!!!! :p

oh, lawd. oh, lawd.

Or they're to be like shotguns:

Loaded, and in the corner.

Okay....that's a bit sexist...still funny, though.

Uh oh.

Watson Applies to Harvard

guys, i'll be honest.

i just read that link and "i jizzed in my pants."

The Yale Daily News reported today in their "Cross-Campus" column that Watson has chosen...Cambridge.

Yale Daily News - Cross Campus: 02.04.09

Confusing? Definitely.

God, I would hate to be her.

All joking and "she has a nice ass" jokes aside.....Can you imagine what it would be like to have people ogling you all the time?
