Ok this might sound like a joke thread but I assure you I’m not trolling anyone. I’m just curious if current students at Brown see Emma Watson on a regular basis there. I know the campus is big and all but I might apply there so I was just wondering because that might be a factor haha.

inb4 “thiskidsacreeeep”

Again, I’m just curious, not some sort of weirdo or anything.

My friend who is a freshman at Brown has probably seen her at least 10 times, but I don’t think they’ve ever spoken to each other.

Also… NEVER bring up HP around her! I have a funny story about that hehe

Apparently Emma Watson answered a question right in a class and someone yelled “20 points for Gryffindor.” She then got REALLY REALLY angry at the kid lol. I’ve heard this story from a few sources who are unrelated, other than the fact that they all go to Brown, so it must have spread around campus lol.

Well, I’m sure she gets it -all the time- (not to mention all of the time she spent filming/rehearsing for the movies), so she’s probably sick to the death of it. If you’re looking to be her friend mentioning her role in Harry Potter is probably a death sentence.

But you know. You either live with people making bad Harry Potter jokes/asking about the movies. Or be millions of dollars in the hole. HMMMMM. I think I’ll take the bad Harry Potter jokes and the money, thanks.

haha I actually laughed out loud I’m sure she is trying to break away from the Harry Potter mould of Hermione, and I don’t blame her. It must suck a lot to have people constantly associate you with HP (don’t hate-I love Harry Potter!). Just saying she’s probably so tired of it

The “20 points for Gryffindor” thing seems never to have happened - that story was just too funny for people not to pass it around. You definitely see her around campus, but just as often as you see other people you don’t know at all - and she gets treated the same as them by the majority of students.

I don’t even go to Brown (I go to another ivy) and I have heard that god damn “10 points for Gryffindor” story every other day since I got here.

I don’t. Fame is a b**ch sometimes, but she’s also worth millions of dollars, and from what I’ve heard both from here and people I know at Brown IRL, she doesn’t have it that bad.
