Emory 2020 ED questions

I live in the midwest, and many good students from my school apply regular and get it. However, nobody actually goes. Last year, 5 kids applied, 4 kids got in. The year before that, 4 kids applied, 3 kids got in, and nobody went. I am not sure about this year, but nobody ended up going to Emory.

What does that mean about my ED possibilities. My gpa is up to par, except many of the kids who got in, based on the naviance page were kids with 35 and 36 ACT scores. Is this good or bad for me? Will they not accept me ED because they know better students are coming?

No, ED is good because if you were to apply as a regular admit they would be hesitant knowing that no-one from your school attended however if they accepted you as ED they know its a guarantee that you will attend there.

Also, although GPA and ACT is a important factor in your admissions that isn’t everything. Admissions truly look holistically, even if your ACT scores may not be on par that will not hurt your chances in the big picture.

Haha yeah thanks a lot. I was just really concerned about it.
