emory application online --sent by email

so after i visited emory, they sent me an email saying to use a "special application" that is personalized and whatnot. There are two parts to it (Part I and Part II). I already informed my counselor and teachers for recs that i was using the commonapp, so they are sending the documents provided by commonapp. After part I of this application online, will part two use forms for commnapp? emory's site says the only means of applying online are through commonapp or embark. i dont know what embark is, but the site is not commonapp so i am a little confused. I dont want to submit part I of that app without knowing what is to come after it. does anyone know how this 'special application' works?

I got the same things by e-mail and e-mailed an Emory admissions officer. They said it was just another form of applying in addition to embark and the common app. Just like you I had already sent in my teacher recs and counselor forms with the common app sheets and the admissions rep. just told me to continue with the common app so things didn't get messed up.

if you already had your teachers use the common app, just stick with the common app. It's the easiest way and it is treated equally. EMBARK is Emory's own app. After the common app came along, they just kept their own app too and gave you a choice. But I think the worst thing to do is to mix and match. would cause confusion

thanks so much for your replies. this helped alot. ill just stick with the commonapp then. but, do you think that that other app would be better in terms of 'demonstrated interest"? or do you think it not matters either way?

Doesn't matter at all.
