First let me say that you’re amazing. You’re a candidate for the Robertson Scholar at Duke, and the Morehead Cain scholar at UNC. You’ll get into Columbia too by the way. All the best, good luck.

dang, your stats are amazing! you have a strong shot at all of these schools, and probably even schools that arent on your list (princeton, yale, stanford)

Aw, thank you, guys! That’s way better than I was hoping. Thank you so much!!

As mentioned above, you have a great shot at not only getting into these schools, but also receiving scholarships. You may want to take a shot at more selective schools.

Please chance me back
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1168429-chance-me-will-chance-back.html

I chanced you back. Thanks, PatelA! (:

Yeah, I agree you have a good chance mainly because your black. If you weren’t black then you probably wouldn’t have as good of a chance. Good luck!

Thank you.

You definitely have a great chance at all of the schools that you’re interested in! btw, don’t listen to the hater…sure, being black can help, but you’re an amazing student! some people are just jealous :P

Aw, thank you, Rolando. I’m really glad you think so.

Your stats are very impressive. I think you have a good chance of getting in to any of the top universities. :)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1169076-please-chance-me-ivy-league-stanford-duke.html

most likely in at all of your schools, columbia is a bit fickle though, so be wary of that

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1168613-chances-congressional-page-columbia-ed-will-chance-back.html

It’s a great application, but post after post of praise doesn’t help too much:

If you have the time, a 2300 SAT would look quite a bit better. A 2300+ URM is somewhat rare.

Even though you’ve done a lot with tennis and TKD, the fact that you discontinued them means that they won’t help your application much.

You’ll need to have done enough with the New Song Bible Club to fill up that line you get to explain it on the Common App. Religion is a prickly issue when applying to colleges, and I’d recommend you not use the word “empower” on your application.

Did you place in any debate tournaments?

I know nearly nothing about self-publishing so I have no frame of reference for the 200 books sold. What were the books about?

Of course, your application is definitely very solid. The legacy at Emory should get you in pretty easily. Chapel Hill is pretty safe too. As a soon-to-be Blue Devil, I know a good number of kids going to Duke and it sounds like you’re the kind of person that would get in. Columbia’s a coin toss. Best of luck to you.

Great stats and great ECs! Only thing I would do to soliidify your chances would be to maybe retake the SAT/ACT and shoot for a 2300/34. Your book publishings and internship will look especially good so best of luck!

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1166769-sats-so-chance-me.html

Thank you, guys. Balling and Omicron, I’ll definitely take your advice.

“If you have the time, a 2300 SAT would look quite a bit better. A 2300+ URM is somewhat rare.”

Indeed, high scoring, high rank URM is rare.
My prediction: You will be accepted from every school on the list. You will get some early writes too.

Please let us know after March 30th of 2012.
