I was wondering...if you are not accepted into the business school or decide you do not want to work right away after during your sophmore year...are you still ok? I mean, do emory students regularly get into good law/phd programs from econ (or maybe philosophy and psychology...)? Lastly...do business recruiters ever consider people who are not in the biz school?

If you can't get into the b-school you likely have too low of a GPA to get a top job or get accepted to a top graduate program. With that said, if you choose to study Economics instead of Business, which believe it or not some poeple do, here is some data on career placement for ECON majors at Emory: http://www.economics.emory.edu/career.htm .
