lol I just saw the ting two and smartaleck when you said seven days, I flashed back to the seven days left of doom LOL

Has any1, other than URMs, heard back from Emory yet? Getting impatient....

Got mine through e-mail just now- 4:14 A.M (3 P.M. Est. Time?) Seoul, Korea. I am a bit relieved considering the fact that I got waitlisted and rejected from Wash. U. in St. Louis and Northwestern all on the same week.

Well, good luck to rest of you guys.

If according to the original poster, Emory has already mailed out decisions, why the hell haven't any of us heard back yet? very confused, some1 help me out here.. thanks

Congratulations, vita86! Way to go! Think you will attend?

To be honest, I really don't know if I am going to attend or not. I still have U Penn, Duke, Cornell, U of Chicago, and Johns Hopkins to look forward to... even though chances are likely that I won't get into any of them (I know that's very optomistic of me). Plus, my dad doesn't want me to go back to Georgia, since I've lived there for most of my life- He essentially wants me to "broaden my horizon."

I mean I recall being so happy when I received the letter, but now, I am kind of lost. Anyways, hope you guys will be hearing good news too shortly. And in regards to the question about this post being a hoax and whatnot.. well that in itself is bs... bec. i got mine

My son also feels lukewarm about Emory now. This sending of admission notices in dribs and drabs doesn't make you feel much love for a school when you are in the last batch--if that. Particularly since they are so big on "demonstrated interest" because they don't like feeling second to other schools to which you've applied. Gee, and what do they turn around and do to the applicants? It's hard not to feel second to all the other categories of applicants who get e-mails and letters ahead of time.

I'm glad he's had other acceptances to enjoy, and yes, it will play into he final decision. Hang in there everyone, as for us....whatever....

For regular decision applicants, I think the only ones who have really gotten notices are applicants outside the US and URM's. It appears that the official notice is just as they indicated all along, by mail close to April 1.

So obviously those are two sub-categories that rate early knowledge. It sure doesn't make you feel great to be in the "regular official notice pool." As I said above, it has colored our opinion greatly.

URM's, because of a special event in early April, and international, because of the unpredictability of mail. Valid reasons.

Seems it would be more fair to move the date up for everyone. Whatever. You are obviously very enamoured of this school. I wish you well.

Actually, my daughter is probably going somewhere else. But I think everyone's just getting a bit tense with the waiting.

so.... decisions mailed yesterday? what's the consensus?
