Emory/Oxford Prospective Student Athlete

So, I applied to Emory and Oxford in early December ( the 10th I believe) and I understand that it takes time for schools to decide on acceptances, but as I have done more and more research since then, I am becoming more skeptical of my chance of getting in.

Emory is my dream school.

I have been in AP & Gifted classes my entire life. My freshman and sophomore years I struggled in Gifted English and ended up finishing both years with a C in that class and all A’s and B’s in the others. My concern lies in my cumulative GPA because of my English I and II grades. According to my high school counselor my GPA is a 3.27. I have maintained A’s and B’s in my core classes ( other than my freshman and sophomore years English as said before). I have an ACT score of 28 and an ACT Writing score of 29. I participate in FCA, Varsity Soccer, Key Club, a Head Coach for the soccer league run by my church, and I am training to be an EMT. I understand that I might be overthinking things, but at the same time, I was wondering if I can get any more information on the possibility of my acceptance to my dream school. Good or bad, anything helps. Much thanks!

A 3.3 UW (I’m assuming) with a 28 on the ACT is pretty low even for a prospective student Athlete. But at this point there is nothing you can do about it, just wait for the results and hope for the best.

But honestly Emory/Oxford seems like high reaches for you.
