Do athletes get a pre-read or are coaches able to determine whether the prospect has the required quals?

My daughter was told she can get a pre-read and was asked to submit her full year transcript for jnr yr. I think she said they issue letters in August. Sport - soccer
transcript for only junior year, not freshmen and sophomore?
A transcript shows cumulative grades, so a junior year transcript shows 1st year, sophomore and junior year grades.
