Hello!
Does anyone know when the deadline for submitting mid-year reports for scholar applicants is? On their website, it says January 25th for ED2 and February 15th for regular decision. I applied regular decision, but scholars are usually notified by February 15th whether or not they are a finalist. Does this mean that they don’t consider mid-year reports for regular decision scholar applicants unless they’re not a finalist? Because the decision date and mid-year report deadline are the same. I’m confused.
Thanks!
It is worth calling for clarification (except they are not in today or tomorrow due to the snow). Some schools don’t have an expectation of seeing mid year reports for early decision or early response deadlines. Also, since schools generate their reports at different times, students can’t be expected to make deadlines out of their control. If your mid year report strengthens your application, I would suggest you send it asap no matter what.
Emory says on their portal that they will review your Emory Scholars info w/o the mid year report. I am assuming if you send your report around Feb 15th, they will just use whatever info they already have for you. However, some students start school earlier and already have finished their first semester; hence, they would have the report in. Don’t worry if yours is not in before the 15th; you can probably send them a small update about grades if you feel it would help though!
Thanks so much to the both of you! My mid-year reports may not come out for another few weeks but I will definitely send it in when I can. I might just call Emory to clarify so thanks for the advice!
@LushLillies and @Storyteller28, I believe last year the Emory Scholars notifications were Feb 8th so if Emory is giving til Feb 15 for mid year reports, that must mean that those are not considered for the scholarship.
Did anyone get the email for scholar notification release date? Was supposed to get today but has not come.
Yes. The release date is 6pm ET on February 8th. Maybe check your spam if you haven’t received it in your inbox? If not, Emory has posted it on their website.
