Are there any summer/ pre-college programs at Emory? I am especially looking for research oppurtunities or science realted programs or english and writing programs....it would be great to find that they offer pentions...By the way I live in New Jersey, so I have to keep in mind the plane ticket and room and board. So please keep in mind all suggestions.. I really like Emory and I would also like to see the college, but I am kind of "economically broke" , just so you know I am planning this for next summer, before I start my Junior year of High School. I am a pretty good student and I have had previous research experience, and I go to a special magnet school that has us pick majors in High School, but don't ask why. I am a Bio-medicine major i f that helps me getting in an internship or program at Emory that would be great!

Emory's Youth Theological Intiative is calling your name...

YTI is a month-long FREE program on campus with an acceptance rate of around 20%. The scholarship is $7,500 and you get $22 a day for whatever. The main focus of the program is to perpetuate the cycle of love and acceptance in the world -- a pehaps cliched but most certainly realized task. There is also a focus on building an experimental community of different people from all over the U.S. and -- as was the case this summer -- the world, regradless of religious affiliation. Classes take up only about three hours a day and the rest of the time is pretty much up to you as long as you stay on campus/Emory village. So, you would have the opportunity to pursue an internship etc. if you had the intiative to do so.

It's a great program; you should check it out.

Are there any others?

yeah, is there any other programs?
