Emory Supplement

This is the prompt for Emory. Emory University welcomes first-year students with two distinct options to begin their liberal arts education: the research-infused Emory College or the smaller, experiential learning Oxford College. If you could create an academic course that is in the Emory University spirit of collaboration, creativity, entrepreneurship and inquiry, what would it be? What impact would the course have on you and your classmates’ educational experience? (500 word limit)

I've introduced the relevance of my course, what is taught, and it's affect on others. Should I go into detail of what will be taught?
EX- "They will learn how the state of mind known as the burning desire to win and the belief that their desire is attainable can create the effort needed to induce faith (persistence)"
Or is that too much?
Is the prompt more about the course itself or how it will affect others? My Essay is barely more than 300 words. The contents of the course are still vague but adding anything to it's relevance and affect on others would include many unnecessary descriptions. I feel it's not too personal, but this is how to answer the prompt right?

bump

Don’t forget to include how the course will impact you and your educational experience – that will personalize it. Read the prompt – it isn’t just about the impact on your classmates.

@mommyrocks I saw that I’m just don’t know how to include that part. I’m designing the course so it’s something I obviously know a lot about already. The impact on others is all an assumption really as this is all hypothetical. I don’t see the impact on me as any different. You’re getting me thinking though, so thanks :). Any suggestions?

My only other suggestions also relate to the wording of the prompt – be sure to use their buzz words: collaboration, creativity, entrepreneurship and inquiry. Good luck!
