it says on the webpage that you need 28 units to apply... what if one of those units cant transfer? does anyone know anything about this subject or transfer admissions?

I am sorry.
But they didn't want you in the first place. Why would you want to go there? Do you not have any self-esteem? Pride?

But if you have not already applied and been rejected, please disregard my post.

oh, i havent even applied or been rejected haha...i was just looking for information on possible schools to transfer, i am a college sophmore :p

mojo, where on the site does it indicate that an applicant needs at least to 28 units?

um, on the FAQ section of the admissions page...then click on transfer admissions and someone asks a question like "what do i need to transfer"

Thanks mojo. Has anyone at least received written confirmation from admission? Also, does anyone have that "needed current grades" tab on the to do list on opus? If yes, have you sent them yet?

are you a transfer? if so, when does your semester end? mine ends june 9th and i am worried i wont be able to get the grade on time since the deadline is june 1st ...

Yes, I am a transfer. My semester ended, including final exams, May 5. No you shouldn't worry about submitting your grades after the deadline. You can submit your application, but before they even review it, you must submit all materials they request, including current grades. You need not worry. If you still feel insecure about it, just inform them of your situation. I'm sure they will be flexible.

I am right now fixing my essay, i will send the application by tonight lol.. um i wrote them a letter which will be sent along with the application that says my semester will end in june :) Hopefully they will consider it lol When did u send all your stuff? how many units do you have and whats ur gpa?

I submitted my application on April 11. I would've submitted it like in February, but balancing admission essays and college is not easy. I have 26 units, which is why I asked you where on the site did they say you need 28 units. I just now learned that you need 28 credits. Had I known, I wouldn't have applied. I emailed admission regarding this conflict. But on a positive note, it does say that I need to complete one full academic year (28 units) by the time of my proposed enrollment to Emory, which is in the fall; I am taking a 3 credit hour course this summer, which will amount to 29 units. So given this stipulation, they must consider me as a qualified candidate.

yeah, they have to, somewhere on the application it said something about giving them transfer credit proposal thing by july if you want summer credit or something...
