Emory vs. BU Questrom

Hello everyone,
I was accepted to Boston University Questrom and Emory University. I am planning to major in business and possibly double-major in computer science. Emory shows higher outcomes on their career page (Emory Goizueta BBA - 70k a year starting salary after graduation; BU Questrom - 61k a year starting salary after graduation), but would possibly put a lot of financial pressure on my family after the corona crisis. The difference is $20k a year, which my parents agree to pay, but it would definitely drain a lot of my family’s resources.

In terms of location, I also expect Emory to more or less require a car (even more cost added to Emory) to move around the city, which makes me prefer the Boston area more than the Atlanta area as a whole. However, Boston is surrounded by other colleges with students competing for the same internships/jobs, while Emory is the top college in Atlanta.

The time to make a decision is running out and I am clueless about which one I should go to.

Thanks ahead for your advice!

I am surprised that you are weighing Emory Goizueta with BU Questrom. Graduate employment outcomes rank : Emory 12 (96%) vs BU 35 (92%)
Alumni experience rank: E 33 vs B 53.

20K is a big money for now, but the anticipated outcome is greater at Emory. Go for it. I also got accepted to Questrom but didn’t get any merit scholarship. So it’s off from my college choice list. I’m also torn between other colleges who offered me merits.

Saving over $20,000 a year is the answer to your question.
